These little cuties came for a photo shoot when their new sister was just 5 days old.
We had a great time. Big sister "A" was especially helpful with prop placement.
She may have a future in design.

fun senior portrait session

It has been a very long time since I have posted anything, and there has been much going on. Ou r baby was born, and things were rushed from the beginning to get him to doctors appointments in town, and several up with the angels that work at Primary Children's in Salt Lake. It has been a blessing to have support from great friends and family. There is way too much to journal on here, so I will just give you the latest. H had his first lip surgery on April 7. We recently got back from his one month post op check up, and the doctors are all pleased with how the cleft issues are going. He looks amazing! Now, we have concerns about his stomach. His dad had a major surgery as an infant, and now the doctors believe that H will be needing the same one. Thankfully medical advancements have been made with this particular surgery, so it will not be quite so crude. If H does need this surgery; he will need to be fed through a GI tube for a month. We are trying other possible routes first, and they do not want to do the surgery until his cute face has healed. We should know more in a few weeks.
People have been asking for my photos again; which is both fun and stressful at the same time. I love doing them, but feel a great deal of pressure with where my priorities are when I do. I had soooo much fun doing Ms. M's senior portraits last week. They turned out beautifully. She is a wonderful young lady who is honored to be one of seven Valedictorians for her graduating class. So happy for her.

Senior Photos

I have to say that I am extremely pleased with how these photos turned out. T was willing to try many poses, and the weather was photographically perfect. Most people would think of an over cast day as a glum one for taking pictures, but in reality it is the ideal situation. The cloud cover lets through enough light to take some beautiful natural light photos with out having to deal with too many shadows. This was a great day for pictures.I had such a hard time choosing which ones I liked best, so I ended up including around 100 on her disc, with 88 skin smoothing, and vinget adding edits. Usually that many edits would take me 15 hours, but they only took me 4 because the original turned out so well. I am so excited for her to look at them.

I have been truly thankful for the support people have shown our family. For those who are unaware; our baby with be born with a clef lip and palate, and we will be taking him to Primary Children's for several surgeries to repair it. So, to prepare financially for what is coming; I have been doing photos for cheap for families. I think a few of these cute families really did not need the photos; they just wanted to help out, and I appreciate it. It has given me more experience; which is always good. I feel like my abilities are improving with each session. The following are from just a few of my more recent sessions.

We were blessed to be able to go up to Utah to have a family weekend, and meet up with the Primary Children's Clef team. While there J and C had me do their family photos. It was nice to do them in a place where color abounds this time of year, and we were not limited to a planned park, museum, or dirt. My cute husband, L went with me on this one, and that was nice because E enjoyed L making him laugh; which in turn made my job more easy. I love my brother and his sweet family, and I am sooo proud of them
We also were able to have an adventure with all the Law cousins that week. On a cold, drizzly, Friday we got to go to Frightmares at Lagoon. Some of the little ones did not enjoy the time as much as they would have if the weather were better, but the oldest 3 and youngest 2 were real troopers and stayed the entire time. We had a blast, and we always do when we all get together.

We were so excited to go on a quick family adventure yesterday. L took us to Valley of Fire to climb, hike, and explore. The day was still a little hot, but over all we had a great time. I must say that I am proud of myself for being 6 months pregnant, and still able to keep up. I did everything but the steep climb up the side of a mountain, and an other up a sand dune. I felt it would be in the baby and my best interest to take pics from the ground on those to climbs.
