Best Neighbors

I have the best neighbors anyone could ask for. Their kids are so respectful, and I can only hope that my children turn out that way. I do have pretty amazing kids though. Anyway, they too asked me to do their family photos in early November. I had soooo much fun with them. They were easy to photograph, excited to play with posing, and anxious to give some of their own ideas. Out of the 250+ pictures I took of them; I think there were only 15-20 I did not like at all. The little girl was having a hard time because it was cold, but I got some adorable crying shots of her. Maybe I will post one of those on a later date.

The Museum

This cute family asked me to do their photos just before Thanksgiving. I had a lot of fun with the personalities of their cute little ones. We took the photos at the Clark County Museum. There are quite a few fun locations, but this is one to get that southwest or country feel to your family photos.

Birthday Traditions

So, I have decided that a birthday tradition I want to start is to take the birthday child out for a one on one photoshoot with mom. I took each boy on the morning of their birthday to get their new pictures. We got balloons, doughnuts, and a fun setting and props. I think my kids enjoyed the time with me, and I know I did. My boys are so photogenic. They are also hams like their mom... always take the time to do a good pose.

Photography

I will make this quick because my kids are getting anxious. I have become quite interested in photography in the last few years, and was even honored with being able to do photo sessions for some family and friends. Boy, I do enjoy it, but I get so involved with a session that I feel I neglect my family. I wish I could figure out this balance thing.
I was able to do this young families engagement photos and wedding annoucment last week, and I surprised myself with how well it went. My friend, Brittany, told me I need to start an on line portfolio, and use their photos in it. I will think about it. in the mean time I will try to put some on this blog. Soon.
If any mother out there can tell me how they balance more than 1 child, a husband, and their own sanity...without feeling guilty, could you let me in on the secret?!!!
